Marmon Rail, parent company to brands like Trackmobile and Zephir, acquired BOSS in Spring 2025. BOSS was formed in 2017 by an industry veteran equipped with a team of railcar mover experts. They were able to leverage their years of experience in designing and manufacturing Railcar Movers with a blank sheet of paper to design the BOSS lineup of Mobile Railcar Movers. Production started in 2018 and currently consists of 5 models with drawbar pull ranging from 38,000 lbs to 62,000 lbs.
The Team at BOSS had years of experience designing and manufacturing rubber tire railcar movers, they were able to address some of the known challenges with Rubber Tire Railcar Movers, such as weight placement to create a shorter wheelbase, and advanced guide wheel technology to build a more stable, reliable and serviceable railcar mover.
