A patented system that eliminates operator guesswork when moving empty, partially loaded, or fully loaded railcars. MAX-Tran automatically detects the optimal amount of weight that can be safely transferred from the coupled railcar(s) to produce the greatest attainable tractive effort. A microprocessor based controller ensures that the maximum weight is maintained while moving railcars, even over varying track conditions. The operator can select manual or automatic mode. This option comes standard on the ATLAS model.
